Do you know, that I know, that you know, that I know nothing / by Jeppe Møgelmose

I never know what I truly want,
nor do I know how to know it.
I don’t know what I don’t want,
only from omission,
of what I truly need.
But I don’t know,
what that is either.

I would ask you,
if you knew what I needed,
But I don’t think,
I would like the answer.
Even if you knew, what I wanted
anymore than me.

And now my words don’t suffice,
and now I could use some advice,
because all I do,
Is run around in circles.

But I don’t know how to heed,
The council that is given me.
